Located on the south shore of Rhode Island in Misquamicut, overlooking Block Island and the tip of Long Island, Atlantic Beach Park has been a charming landmark in this area dating back to 1921.  It is still owned and operated by the Trefes family. The original name was "Atlantic Beach Casino", meaning a place to enjoy the beautiful surf, where, in days gone past, families and friends would sit in rocking chairs on the boardwalk, enjoying the sun and swimming in the warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Over 90 years later, Atlantic Beach Park remains a local Misquamicut summer tradition.

The main attraction was, and still is, the Herschell-Spillman Carousel, circa. 1915.   Always fun to ride for children and adults alike. Three of the signature horses from this Carousel were carved by the famous Marcus Ilions and were on loan to the New England Carousel Museum, Bristol, CT.   They have recently  been sent off for some restoration work.

The main building of Atlantic Beach Park houses the Windjammer Surf Bar. This bar opens directly onto the oceanfront patio, with tables and umbrellas just steps from the beach.  Enjoy live entertainment daily in season from 1 to 5pm on the patio while lounging in our adirondack chairs sipping your favorite tropical drink. See the Calendar for upcoming events and scheduled bands.

After a nice lunch or light dinner, ice cream is a great finishing touch at Dusty's Original Dairy Bar, residing in the same spot for over 40 years, featuring the best soft serve ice cream on the beach!

Also in the main building is the Mariner Room  which has entertainment throughout the summer and can be rented for weddings, reunions and other private functions.
